BARWANI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked Congress at an election rally in Barwani district of Madya Pradesh, mocking it for selling wild dreams to voters and accusing it of corruption.

"Write this down, every promise made to you will be fulfilled, this is Modi's guarantee," the PM said.
"Congress will forget you quickly and start the business of loot. It failed to keep its promises in Himachal Pradesh. In prosperous Karnataka also, Congress made electricity expensive overnight. Even milk for children has become expensive. Ordinary families, farmers, small and big people are all worried," Modi said.
"Development has come to a standstill in Karnataka and if this is the condition of prosperous Karnataka, then imagine what will they do to Madhya Pradesh?" he said.
Modi warned first time voters to be cautious. "The youth need to understand that wherever Congress comes, crime reaches its peak and riots become common; atrocities against sisters and daughters increase and it becomes difficult for people to celebrate their festivals too," he alleged.

"Could we ever imagine that we'd have to hear slogans of 'Sar Tan Se Juda' in the brave soil of Rajasthan? All this happened in front of cameras under the misrule of Congress," the PM said.
"The track record of Congress was always bad, the country did not trust the words and promises of Congress. Their government, from panchayat to Parliament, lasted for 60 years, but during this period tribals were not given development or respect," the PM said.
"Tribals were there even before I became the Prime Minister, even before Independence and also during the era of Lord Ramchandra but there was no ministry, no system for them during Congress rule. After Atal Bihari Vajpayee became Prime Minister, a ministry for tribals was formed and the budget was announced. Before 2013, the government was running via remote control, and the budget of the tribal ministry was very low, but today it's Rs 1.25 lakh crore," the PM said, asking: "Can we forgive such a Congress government?"
Modi alleged that the number of hunger deaths was highest during Congress rule.
PM Modi lauded the rise in tribal children's vaccination under Mission Indradhanush. He highlighted the effectiveness of PM Matru Vandana Yojana and assistance to sisters under the Ladli Behna and Ladli Laxmi schemes. He acknowledged the BJP government's initiation of a national campaign to eradicate sickle cell anaemia.
The PM said that Congress supported only 7-8 forest products, whereas the BJP government provides MSP for more than 90 forest produce, he said, praising the BJP government's Van Dhan Yojana.
"This election is not between BJP and Congress but to decide the bright future of Madhya Pradesh. Congress leaders had pushed Madhya Pradesh into a dark well, but BJP has worked to bring Madhya Pradesh out of darkness," he said.
Modi alleged that Congress wants to establish its hold on Madhya Pradesh to "fill its empty coffers". "In Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, see how piles of notes earned through black money of Congress are coming out every day. Is this earned by hard work? Why does it have to be hidden under mattresses? Aren't these stolen goods? If Modi catches them, is he doing right or wrong?" he said.
"On the other hand, there is BJP which wants to take forward the resolve of service, the mission of Nation First. BJP has resolved to make India developed, and the future of MP is linked to this," he said.
"At present, only one slogan echoes everywhere - 'Congress Aayi Tabahi Layi'. Wherever Congress was removed, there has been prosperity. And where Congress has come, even prosperous states are in trouble," Modi alleged.
The PM lauded the party manifesto for the Madhya Pradesh election and said it will take the state to new heights.
"The meticulously crafted manifesto charts a transformative course for Madhya Pradesh, focusing on self-reliance, youth and women empowerment, and holistic development for all communities," he said
Modi stressed on the inclusive nature of the BJP's manifesto, saying, "The BJP's manifesto is dedicated to strengthening every individual in my family."
He announced plans to celebrate the birthday of tribal leader Birsa Munda in Jharkhand on November 15 and said the tribal society has preserved and enriched our culture besides empowering India for hundreds of years. Tribal heroes have contributed to the freedom movement. Therefore, Tribal Pride Day has become a big day to remember all this. TNN
